Reliving the past

Sanjay Suri is back
Sanjay Suri is all set to make a comeback with a couple of films. He will shoot for Heaven on Earth in Kashmir with Lisa Ray. The project is quite close to his heart as he hails from Srinagar and spent 20 years of his life there.
Heaven on EarthPashmina
Suri calls Heaven on Earth a love story. He will shoot for the movie during summers in Kashmir. The film narrates the story of two people who meet in Kashmir after a long time. The roles are essayed by Lisa Ray and Suri. “I wanted to do something that is away from violence but when we are shooting in a place, the environment comes in automatically. So we will try our level best to keep it away from violence.” Besides he has also signed Pashmina, a film which is in the scripting stage still.
Talking about his childhood in Kashmir, Suri remembers the time when he used to play squash but gave up the game after he lost his father and moved to Delhi. The environment of Kashmir made him naturally inclined to outdoor games. “I used to play squash, go running, trekking and swimming. The latter, I learnt in a lake and not in a pool which is not common among the children these days. Television was quite boring in front of all this,” he reveals. The actor is back to playing squash and says that he should done it much before. “I regularly run on the beach or swim and now after 24 years it is squash.”
Suri was in Delhi at an event organised by makemytrip.com, which announced the launch of new travel packages to promote tourism under the brand name #RediscoverKashmir. Naeem Akhtar, minister in the PDP-BJP Government in Jammu and Kashmir was also present.
