Needless to say, I’m writing here and its a good measure to know depth of my likness/love towards your acting and performance and of course you as a person.
I’ve been following you since ‘Indian Holiday’ days when your hair used to fall in front of your face in the breezy surroundings:). Since then you have evolved as a powerful actor, an artist with guts to take on extra ordinary roles. Your selected movies deal with LGBT issues with great sensitivity and awarness. You are possibily one of the first LGBT icons (based on the personal survey conducted amongs my friends..lol)
I’m a pround gay guy and I would be more than glad and happy to meet you with your family if you visit Toronto, Canada anytime in future.

First of all many congratulations on excellent work done in I AM. I would like to know how does a new writer make it into films? FWA wont register you as their member unless you have a letter from some production house (i.e. member of producers association) or your story is published somewhere. And if a new writer approaches without registering his/her script to a production house, then God save the writer and his script. What a new writer should do with his story idea? How he should protect his story and get it converted into a movie?

I was at the function organized by Bharat Verein, Frankfurt. IMHO the orgranizers could have done better than the cold treatment that was meted out to you. Juhie may have been the ‘main’ attraction at the function but this is no way diminishes the stature of the other invitees.

u were shooting for alibaug in goa (kala academy)…it was made some hospital….u had like several more co stars with u …diya mirza, samir soni, rohit roy, mansi joshi roy,etc etc etc….
samir soni, rohit roy and U… happened to enter the set disturbing the shot…..and the shot was cut by the director as the innova in which u’ll arrived enterd the frame…
and i dont remember the other 2..but u were dressed in white formal shirt(with sleeves folded up),a pair of ice blue jeans …and had a black blazzer tucked in ur arms…..
man…..the simple cute adorable looks tht u have made me forget my job…..
my husband and myself were co-ordinating there..i had like 100 junior artist on the set tht day…

I dont think there is one place where you can register yourself as an Actor to get work but there is an association called CINTAA in Mumbai where actors can register themselves.
You should try meeting directors and producers directly with your showreel or a portfolio.

I am what you can call a complete film buff.Films are like oxygen for me.If I don`t watch movies for a long gap,I start to feel as if something vital is missing
You`ve done some exceptional and amazing work like Pinjar,Bas Ek Pal,Jhankaar Beats,Dhoop and My Brother Nikhil.I think your affable personality and the ability to completely get into each character you play is what makes one relate or connect to you so easily.
My Brother Nikhil was a path breaking film and everyone feels so including me.But somehow “Bas Ek Pal” happens to be my personal favourite.Yours was a character which goes through so many varied situations in life and you were absolutely amazing.I would love to see you in real kickass mainstream commercial movies.Though I have no complaints whatsoever with the the kind of cinema you have been doing,as a die hard ardent fan I would like to see you right up there.Which you really deserve.
I don`t know how the film industry functions in terms of offering movies and casting actors.But what I feel is that somebody like you who has proved himself time and again should have the cream of offers.I would love and am sure all your fans would too,to see you in a Yash Chopra film or a Sooraj Barjatya film.Madhur Bhandarkar,Karan Johar,Rajkumar Hirani…….the list is endless.I mean there`s not a single thing which the so called top most actors can do which you cannot do and better than most at that.It is sad to see Jimmy Shergill in such an insignificant part in “My Name is Khan” when he can carry of something as dynamic as “A Wednesday” on his shoulders.
But one thing is for sure that you have never resorted to nay kind of cheap publicity or “scoops” to be in the news which we see most of the stars doing these days.And yes,I am waiting for you to appear on some of the TV reality shows to prompte I AM

Well, to be honest it’s like saying, “Is it easy being a Chief of the Army or the Navy”? Both require a different set of skills and are equally challenging differently. I love Acting and that will always be my passion but at the same time I enjoy being a Producer. Of course, being a Producer sometimes is a thankless job, while as an Actor one get’s that extra appreciation even though one is just doing a job one is supposed to.
I have done 25 features as an Actor but only on my 3rd one as an Independent producer, so my experience is still more of an Actor than a Producer. Also I like to call myself a Creative Producer rather than a financial one.
I do love Acting and also love the entire process of creation as a Producer.
