me being Pakistani, i've seen our side of it, its amazing. so the question is,
when was the last time you visited the Indian side of Kashmir; and second would
you ever visit the Pakistani side; also, would you ever be able to make peace
with the way you had to leave your homeland?

I appreciate you watching my films and my work.
Regarding you question, no I haven’t been to your country but I do imagine that parts of it are beautiful and I would surely want to visit it someday. I did visit my home Kashmir last year after 18 years and it was a very emotional trip for me. It is beautiful.
I like to look ahead in life and learn from the past, if we keep hatred in our hearts that is dangerous. Me and my family have been victims but if I carry that hatred then I would be doing the same.
The idea is to spread the word of non violence and tolerance. I feel religion has created more problems than anything else and politicians manipulate innocent people in the name of religion.
I hope peace prevails and the world becomes a safer place.

Yes I grew up in kashmir and went to Burn Hall School.
I guess many are out of Kashmir but Kashmir is not out of them. I can relate to your sentiment as I miss my childhood and home terribly.

It’s nice to know that it moved you to the extent that you were not only sensitized to the issue but also willing to help
Regarding helping victims, I think first you should just educate the people around you and spread the word. Then maybe you can find out in your local area about NGO’s working with Aids victims and other organizations, they should be able to guide you as a volunteer.

There really is not hard and fast rule to get into the industry. Just be patient and focus on your craft. Be at it is the mantra.
