I mean how does one get the directors to notice them if they haven't entered the media stream through commercials, modeling, beauty paegents or singing?

I really don’t have the correct answer for your query. Actually I wish I knew what really works :). Well I do think that there is no hard and fast rule in the Industry besides hard work and perseverance. Luck plays a big factor too :).
Through modeling, beauty pageants or music videos one gets noticed and there is a lot of media attention in any case so that kind of works a bit. Besides that if one is not following that route then one should circulate photographs to Ad film makers, Film directors/producers, Modeling agencies, Model coordinators, etc
Infact, I am in the process of developing a talent portal which will go online soon, you could apply there aswell as I imagine a lot of casting calls and talent scouts will be looking at that. The news will be updated soon on my website.

thought about it as of now. It’s a specialized craft and I wouldn’t
