"Dear Sanjay,
I am working as a Consultant in National AIDS Control Organization (NACO), Ministry of Health and involved with the National policy making on HIV/AIDS. It is really heartening to know that you are actively involved with the HIV awareness programme.
I got the opportunity to see your movie My Brother ...Nikhil and I must say that it was an outstanding effort. Kudos to the entire team of the movie who made this film with sense of responsibility towards the nation and not with finance in their minds.
But while interacting with MSM groups in our office, they felt that though homosexuality was handled asthetically, but it didnt answered their problems, grief and dignity completely. This may be their way of interpretation.
Next I must say, I have rarely seen such a sensitive performance like you have done while living the character of Nikhil. If I make a movie in future, you will be my first choice as an actor after seeing the range of your acting capabilities; Simply outstanding!!!
Lots of good luck to you.
Dr. Debasish Gupta"
- Dr. Debasish Gupta |
Dear Debasish
Thankyou for your mail and your feedback on the film. Its always encouraging
to know that people like your work and even more so in films like My brother…NIKHIL because more than the film it’s
the intention and responsibility one is carrying along the film and if that is
appreciated , it truly becomes an award by itself.
The fact that we did not go much in detail on the homosexual angle was as the
director did not want the issue to be sidelined by just homosexuality. The issue
of Aids, stigma free society, etc etc was our main focus and also touching upon
taboo’s like being gay. I think that was conveyed very well and sensitively
anyways.
I hope you get to make your film ……that is if you ever want to …:)
Best wishes,
Sanjay.

"hi sanjay
i'm basically a south indian and dont kno u much. was ther any episode in your life that prompted u to take up AIDS as a subject? will ur next ventures be based on other social affirs.? if so someone in bolly try to make on conservation. cos we need the message to spread in a more broader way. and the best way is media. you seem to have achieved it in 'my brother nikhil' for AIDS hope u hear my voice. all the best dude"
- Vikram |
Hi Vikram,
Thanks for the mail. The reasons for which I acted and produced My brother..NIKHIL are many but yes, one of the main one’s has been to be able to tell a human story with a message attached with it, which touches people and makes a difference to our society. I agree with you that something needs to be done with conservation in mind. Infact I have been thinking about it but to find funding for such projects is extremely difficult, but if given the opportunity I shall work towards it. Best wishes to you and our concern.

Hi Sonal,
Thanks for your mail. My visit to Suttgart was fantastic and I loved the place. I have travelled in Germany earlier aswell and I love it each time. It was alright not to see many Indians in Stuttgart though I did bump into a few in the shopping streets. All the best to you and take care.

"
Hey Sanjay Suri do you have any other websites. By the way your this website
is really good but the news needs to be daily news not monthly news.."
- Nadir Shahzad |
Hi Nadir,
Thanks for logging on. No I don’t have any other website. Other sites could
be the ones of my movies. Well daily news gets a little difficult as personal
websites don’t work on a current affair/newspaper pattern. Keep checking
my site as its gonna be getting more interesting soon.
Cheers!
